Kim Thompson Managing DirectorI started Buzz People as a rebrand of my original business Storm Recruitment. The opportunity arose to invest in some ideal shop front premises, so it seemed logical to take the opportunity to rebrand and reinvigorate the business.
I have worked in the recruitment sector for in excess of twenty years now and still feel passionate about the industry. Buzz is all about the team and I am lucky enough to have the most awesome bunch of people working with me, even my dogs come into work on a daily basis and are part of the Buzz family, they will probably greet you as you come in the door…especially if you have any food!!!
Peter Carney - DirectorI am the Operations Director at Buzz People and have been so for the last 14 months. I have 30 years’ experience in the transport/logistics sector, ranging from UK/European driving through to Transport Management. I have held full international CPC for 27 years and I am also a RHA ‘Train the Trainer’ driver CPC instructor. This is my Second involvement in the Logistics Recruitment sector having worked alongside Kim Cawley some 14 years ago and yet I still came back for more!
On a personal note I hail form Lancashire born in the shadow of Pendle Hill, fabled to be the birth place of many a witch hung on the gallows of Lancaster. I admit that I am a motorbike fanatic, I own a number and ride all over the UK as well as Europe but enjoy following all forms of Motor sport.
Richard Wilson -Finance DirectorI have lived in Portsmouth all my life and worked in payroll and accounts since leaving school.
Having worked in the construction industry for many years, I found recruitment a bit daunting at first, but now cannot imagine myself doing anything else.
I have a vast knowledge and collection of 60s & 70s music, with David Bowie and Bryan Ferry being particular favourites.
When not listening to music, I spend a lot of time in my own amusement arcade which has 11 different fruit machines in it!
I am also Bailey's work Daddy and he can usually be found under my desk keeping my feet warm!
Louise LinterNearly twenty years in recruitment covering Commercial and Industrial sectors .
I thrive on hard work and am a great believer in customer service and good old fashioned verbal communication. Modern Technology has proved to be a challenge with me which is why I tend to rely on my memory which stores details for many years so I constantly shock the rest of the team when I remember people form ten years ago…even their dogs names!!!
Amy FraserI have been working in recruitment since I was 16, so I guess you could say I enjoy it! I joined Buzz originally in 2013 but in 2015 I moved to Gibraltar with my husband Russell who has been posted there with the Navy. Whilst there I gave birth to my second child Felicity who is a wonderful sister to Oliver. I re-joined Buzz on my return in Summer 2017 and was delighted to slip right back in to my previous account management role. I was chuffed to discover they were all still just as nutty as when I left, but some new crazy people had joined.
Lindy McfarlaneMy name is Lindy and I am the receptionist here at Buzz People Recruitment. I work with an amazing team of people who make my job worth while and I look forward to each working day. I am very lucky to meet and greet people coming through our doors looking for work. It gives me great pleasure in helping the general public and helping my work colleagues who have also been a great inspiration to me.
I’m the baby of the office, I joined at age 18 in 2016 and started as a trainee learning various roles within the office, I was promoted in September 2017 to become a consultant which I am really proud of. I’m special friends with Bella our youngest office Beagle, she cries when I leave the office to go on site with a client! I’m the fashionista in the office, which will be quite noticeable if you come in to see us! I’m fighting a losing battle with this team tho!
I am quietly confident but do not be deceived as it hides a fiery volcano inside!
I’m Carrie and I joined the Buzz team In August 2016, I work as an account manager. I had no previous recruitment experience when I joined but have certainly made up for it now! I have had a rich and varied life with a broad range of experience, I’ve worked in a prison on the mental health side ( great experience for working with the Buzz Team), in an orphanage in Gambia, run my own residential care home to name a few! I’m the loud jolly one in the office who always walks in with a smile every morning. The team say I’m too outrageous but they’re just jealous!!!
I’m a very proud wife to my husband Jon and mother of our two furry children (cats) Tickle and Tots
I joined Buzz in May 2017, with a background in HR. I work alongside my sister Shelby in account management, we don’t fall out too often!
I’m very friendly and outgoing and have been accused ( unfairly) by the team as being a bit ditzy!!!
I'm quite happy to be described as a scatterbrain but in spite of this I am a great consultant! I keep smiling despite intense provocation from my sister. I am well known for having a tuck shop in my drawer, so if you’re feeling peckish I’m the girl to see!
I’m Paul and the newest member of the payroll team. After an extensive break I jumped at the chance to work in accounts again and haven’t looked back! I’m married to Debbie and have one son Harry who is 4. I enjoy running, going to the cinema and play with Harrys Lego!
Bailey WilsonI have been at Buzz for nearly two years. I work for biscuits. I think I'm only here as the eye candy.
I can't use a mouse so they won't let me have an email.
Alfie ThompsonI'm the new boy to the team. My job is to eat, sleep and be cute.
My brother Bailey thinks he's the eye candy, but we know the truth.
Bella ThompsonI am the newest member of the team, joining in December 2014. My role is to give lots of cuddles, sleep and generally be cute. Both of my brothers thought they were the eye candy but i've stepped in to take control of that!
